Along with Dr. Albert C. Barnes, Violette de Mazia coauthored four books. She also wrote a number of essays. Between 1970 and 1978, she initiated The Barnes Foundation Journal of the Art Department, based on the Barnes Foundation’s Journal of the Barnes Foundation from the 1920s. In 1979, she began a journal of her own design, Vistas, which she continued to work on until her death.
